Moving the dice to the back right and thinking about f/16? So as its not too out of depth. I also am going put the jailed monkey in shot!

Cool, I like the sound of what you're doing. Experiment with the apertures a bit and see what works best, I don't think the dice need to be too sharp as long as you can see that it's a double six, you might not need to go as far as f/16 but play around with it a bit. Definately stick with the same lighting though because it's spot-on. I'll look forward to seeing the end result.
